O’Reilly: “Three Cheers for Three Parties!”

Host Cites New Polling Data Adding: Same Old, Same Old Isn’t Working”

Lancaster, PA (December 9, 2009) Fox News talk show host Bill O’Reilly’s recent Talking Points segment echoes the sentiment of millions of Americans in calling for an end to the two party / one agenda system.

The country’s fast- growing third party, the Constitution Party applauds the O’Reilly Factor host for calling for a third political party.  O’Reilly opened a recent program asking, “Should we scorn both Democrats and Republicans?”

The host went on to say, “There is no question that most Americans are fed up with both establishment parties; they want something new, something vibrant, something that reflects values...we need more choices in America because the same old same old isn’t working...there’s a hunger for a third political party... three cheers for three parties!”

O’Reilly’s call for a third party comes on the heels of a recent Rasmussen survey showing Tea Party loyalists would opt for a third party that represented their values over the GOP. 23% would vote for a third party, while only 18% would choose a Republican candidate.

The gap widens among independent voters showing 33% prefer the Tea Party candidate, and 30% are undecided, 25% would vote for a Democrat, and just 12% prefer the GOP.

Among Republican voters, 39% say they’d vote for the GOP candidate, but 33% favor the Tea Party option.

Other national polls show voter discontent with the policies of the parties controlling DC such as  the four year low in the number of Democrats, disapproval of the Healthcare plan, and the overwhelming majority calling for an audit of the Federal Reserve

“Numbers like that in a mid term year show voters are flat out thinking outside the box- outside the “Big Box” political party set up”, noted Constitution Party National Committee Chairman Jim Clymer, who added, “ The Tea Party sentiment has meant more people than ever before are looking to the Constitution Party  as their new party. The growth is unprecedented. Our party has the membership, the ballot access and the platform those in the Tea Party movement can get in on to hit the ground running in 2010 and 2012 to ‘throw the bums out’, a sentiment no one can deny has gained a foothold.”
