Americans Can Give Thanks U.S. Not Limited to Two Parties

More Polls Show Voters Weary Of DC Regime as Party Loyalty Tanks A record number of Americans say most members of Congress do not deserve to be re-elected, according to a number of polls, including a Pew Research Center survey showing anti- incumbent sentiment over issues ranging from the economy to President Obama’s continuation of the Bush Afghanistan policy. Survey after survey show disdain for both controlling parties has grown more widespread. America’s fastest-growing third party based on voter registration, according to independent party analysis publication Ballot Access News, the Constitution Partynparty, cites a Princeton Research Associates/ Newsweek survey showing 54% of respondents say the U.S. should have another major party from which to choose their elected officials. The recent NY and NJ races featuring third party candidates shows: ...(t)he impact of those candidacies on the high-profile contests points to an anti-incumbent, anti-establishment sentiment that could be a prevailing theme in the 2010 congressional elections and beyond. (Associated Press) Grassroots efforts such as Flip this House and Get Out Of Our House confirm the undercurrent has gone electric. “For months we’ve seen average Americans weighing in at Town Hall meetings and Tea Parties across America. The “throw the bums out” sentiment is spreading”, said Constitution Party National Committee Chairman Jim Clymer. Clymer referenced other surveys from Zogby and Rasmussen showing growing discontent with both parties in power. “The escalating ill will is going to change the face of politics like never before. It won’t be at all surprising to see Americans turn their backs on DC insiders of both prevailing parties when they get to the polls next year”, Clymer predicted. One Rasmussen poll shows a whopping 73% of Republicans think GOP members of Congress have lost touch with voters . A USA Today/ Gallup poll shows, “(t)he steepest drop (in Obama’s approval) came from conservative and moderate Democrats. “The Constitution Party’s been welcoming an influx of voters who have been fiercely loyal Republicans as well as the Democrats who can no longer stomach the betrayal anymore. On issues like illegal immigration, presidential power-grabs, endless unconstitutional wars and loss of American jobs, it’s safe to say we’re witnessing the last gasps of both parties”, Clymer noted. ###
